Il NHOW si lascia contagiare. L’hotel si confonde con i muri, i marciapiedi, i cancelli di zona Tortona e diventa materiale di azione e di contaminazione degli artisti di strada. I loro interventi scivolano dall’esterno e invadono gli spazi dell’hotel come un virus. Lo contagiano e infettano con colori, bombolette, gesti immediati, materiali insoliti. Decontamination: un’infestazione di immagini spontanee e fresche che invade anche spazi inaspettati. Interventi decorativi come batteri organici esplosi dai corpi di artisti che raccontano, tramite colori spruzzati, spezzati e con linee violente o delicate, visioni della città e sogni dell’intimo espressi con l’immediatezza e la necessità di un’espressione viva e urgente.
Una contaminazione che fa pulsare l’hotel di una febbre decorativa che dalla strada si impossessa dei suoi spazi per altri tre mesi, fino alla prossima metamorfosi.
NHOW, uno spazio in continua mutazione.

ITALIAN STREET ART

Street-Art è arte pubblica, sono interventi creativi che come virus contaminano le città, segni a bomboletta spray, posters, adesivi, azioni illegali di disordinazione urbana, elementi di persuasione visiva periferica diventati, nel corso di trent’anni, protagonisti della concezione contemporanea di pittura, grafica e stile.
Dai depositi nel ventre caldo delle metropoli addormentate, dai muri sudici delle periferie, questi artisti hanno rubato amore, paura, gioia e odio. Si sono guadagnati il rispetto. Hanno investito in sudore, adrenalina, forza, determinazione, tutto per uscire dal mucchio, per scalare e fare arrivare il proprio messaggio alla società. Le loro storie sono poesie intrecciate allo sporco ed al grigiore degli ambienti dove la massa passa distrattamente, non-luoghi abbandonati al loro squallido torpore.
Questa esposizione Italian Street Art seleziona produzioni pittoriche dei più interessanti Street-Artists italiani. L’istintività, il gusto, il gesto e la determinazione che caratterizzano le opere esposte sono garanzia del loro indiscusso valore pittorico. La varietà stilistica abbraccia gusti ricercati e maturi, la determinazione ad imporre se stessi in una società distratta è la stessa che porta la loro espressività ad un’emozione che brucia forma e tecnica.

ITALIAN STREET ARTStreet-Art is public art; it is creative interventions contaminating the cities like a virus; it is spray, posters, stickers, urban disorder illegal actions, visual persuasion elements that have become the protagonists of the contemporary concept of painting and graphic style of the last thirty years.
From the deep warm womb of the sleepy metropolis, from the filthy walls of the periphery, these artists have stolen love, fear, joy and hate. They have earned respect. They have put all their sweat, adrenalin, strength, will, everything to get out of the mass, to stand up and send their message to society. Their stories are poems entwined with the filth and the gray spaces where the mass passes absent-mindedly, no-spaces let to their own squalid torpor.
This exhibition ‘Italian Street Art’ has selected pictorial creations from the most interesting Italian Street Artists. The instinctive taste, the gesture and the determination characterising their works are guarantee of their unquestioned artistic value. The stylistic variety embraces refined and mature. The will to impose themselves to a distracted society brings their expressivity to an emotional degree burning form and technique.
